Film/Video

I've been writing screenplays and editing videos for over a decade but it wasn't until recently that I actually got to make something I've written and gained so much on set experience, which has led to more opportunities to learn and grow as a filmmaker. Passenger Seat, which I co-wrote, debuted at the Bentonville Film Festival, and has gone on to have screenings at places such as Tasveer Film Film Festival, Asian Film Festival of Dallas, Nevada Women's Film Festival, DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival, and many more.

My most recent project, Billo Rani, is in post-production and will premiere in 2024 (inshallah). It was funded by the Islamic Scholarship Fund, Tasveer Film Fund, and University of Pennsylvania Alumni Art Award.

I've held a variety of different roles on film sets, including assistant director, production designer, art assistant. I would love more opportunities to direct, write, edit, and production design and am always up for learning something new!
